We begin our journey towards the city of Saranda, with a short stop along the way for coffee.
Next, we will make a stop for a visit to the historic city of Gjirokastër.
We will visit:
-Gjirokastër Castle
-Old Bazaar (Qafa e Pazarit)
-Ismail Kadare House
-Skenduli House
After exploring Gjirokastër, we continue our trip with a visit to the Blue Eye natural spring.
(Please note: the walking distance from the parking area to the Blue Eye is approximately 2 km on foot.) or you can take the train ( 600 lek extra )
The stunning Blue Eye is one of the most famous natural attractions in southern Albania. Located about 30 km from Gjirokastër, this natural spring is known for its deep blue color and crystal-clear water.
The spring forms a circular pool that looks like a human eye, which is why locals call it “Blue Eye.” The water comes from underground and is extremely cold (around 10°C) but incredibly clear, allowing visitors to see deep into the spring.
